7 bad habits that our brains consider normal, but we should avoid

Today we discuss a number of bad habits that our brains consider normal, but which we should avoid. Habit is the process by which a behavior becomes habitual. Behaviors are repeated in a consistent context; there is an incremental increase in the link between the context and the action. Action refers to both mental and motor activities that, after a relatively long period in which they are repeated, are then performed more loosely or with greater coordination of movements. This increases the automaticity of behavior in that context. Characteristics of automatic behavior can be: efficiency, lack of awareness, unintentionality, and uncontrollability.
