It is normal that during the winter we wash our hands more often, it is easier to get sick with colds or various viruses than in summer and therefore we want to protect ourselves. However, the use of warm water and aggressive soap damages the protective layer of the skin. As a result, too many washes can dry out the skin.
If you have sensitive or dry skin, use products with a lower pH factor, which are more gentle on the hands, and after washing, do not rub with a towel, but dry gently.
After washing your hands, always try to moisturize them. Just apply a moisturizer especially in the part on the back of the hand, where the skin is more fragile. During the winter it is advisable to carry a small pack of hand cream always with you.
Every now and then, dedicate a peeling to your hands. With peeling dead cells are removed and the skin will absorb moisturizers better. For excellent results, one peeling per week is sufficient.
Try the regenerating compresses once a week. You can use them with your favorite hand cream or mix only olive oil with honey. Today on the market you can also find special hand masks.
Apply a layer of product to your hands, wear cosmetic or plastic gloves and wear over other thicker terry gloves or warm cotton socks for quick warm-up. They will improve the absorption of fatty substances. After 30 minutes of treatment, remove gloves and massage the excess cream into the skin.
Pay close attention to the delicate cuticle around the nail, which performs a protective function and is very susceptible to various shocks. To moisturize it you can use a hand cream or a special cuticle oil.
If the nail lacks water or one of the minerals (most often zinc and/or selenium), it becomes brittle. Especially in winter it is good to pay attention not only to sufficient hydration, but also to the diet.
